Leadly is a place where teens and young people find real local work, and where neighbors and businesses find real local help. Teens use this platform — that fact sets the bar for everyone's behavior. These guidelines apply to everything you do on Leadly: job posts, applications, messages, and profiles.
Post only real jobs you actually intend to fill, with accurate pay, tasks, and location. Use your real name or business identity — impersonating a person or business is a bannable offense. In applications, describe your real experience and availability.
Fake job postings, misleading pay claims, and content that isn't a genuine job or application don't belong on Leadly and will be removed.
No harassment, threats, bullying, or intimidation — in posts or in messages. No hate or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any protected characteristic. This includes discriminatory hiring statements in job posts.
No sexual content of any kind. No violent content. These are enforced automatically and by human review, and violations involving minors are treated with zero tolerance.
Because minors use Leadly, these job categories are blocked for everyone, platform-wide: alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and vapes, adult content, weapons, gambling, driving-only work, overnight unsupervised work, and hazardous labor. The posting form rejects them, and posts that slip through are removed.
Employers must confirm at posting that a job is appropriate for young workers and complies with local minor labor laws (age minimums, hour limits, prohibited tasks). Never ask an applicant to meet alone in a private place for a first meeting, and never ask a minor to conceal a job from their parent or guardian.
Never ask anyone to pay to apply, to buy a starter kit, to pay a training fee, or to send or move money — those are advance-fee scams and result in immediate removal and account action. Never request banking details, government ID numbers, or passwords through Leadly.
Overpayment schemes ('cash this check and send some back'), pressure to move the conversation off-platform, and crypto/gift-card/wire requests are treated as scams. See the Scam Prevention Guide.
New job posts are screened automatically before publishing (keyword rules plus an AI check that can flag a post for human review — the AI can never approve-or-reject on its own authority beyond flagging). Users can report any job with a reason, and a post reported by 3 different people is hidden automatically pending review. Moderators can hide, remove, or restore posts and suspend or ban accounts; every action is logged.
If you believe an action against your content or account was a mistake, email [email protected] and we'll review it. Enforcement details are in Trust & Safety.
Reporting is how the community protects itself. Use the Report button on any job (reasons: Scam, Fake employer, Inappropriate content, Illegal activity, Harassment, Unsafe job, Non-job-related content, or Other). For anything else — a message, a user, or something urgent — contact [email protected] or use Support in the app. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 (US and Canada) first.
