Posting on Leadly puts your job in front of motivated local teens, students, and young adults. Because many applicants are minors, posting comes with rules — here's all of it, straight.
Any account can post — there's no employer registration tier. You'll describe the job (title, tasks, pay, schedule, difficulty), set an approximate location (neighborhood or city — never post an exact home address), choose how you'd like to be contacted, and optionally add category-specific details (like ages of kids for babysitting). Posting is rate-limited to prevent spam.
Your email and phone number are never shown on the listing and are not stored with it — applicants reach you through Leadly's in-app messaging, and applications arrive as messages.
Before publishing you confirm: (1) the job is appropriate for young workers and complies with local minor labor laws — age minimums, hour limits, and prohibited tasks vary by state and province, and knowing them is your responsibility; and (2) your information is accurate, and you accept that Leadly may remove your job or suspend your account if you break the rules.
Blocked platform-wide because minors use Leadly: alcohol, cannabis, tobacco and vapes, adult content, weapons, gambling, driving-only work, overnight unsupervised work, and hazardous labor. Also prohibited: fake or bait listings, jobs requiring any payment from the applicant, discriminatory requirements, and anything illegal. Posts are screened automatically before publishing and can be hidden by community reports or moderators afterward — see Trust & Safety.
Hiring decisions, supervision, pay, and legal compliance are entirely yours. Leadly does not verify workers, is not a party to the work arrangement, and does not process payment — pay the person directly as agreed. Whether someone you hire is an employee or independent contractor under the law is between you and them; Leadly plays no role in that classification. Wage, safety, and workers'-compensation obligations that apply to you still apply.
Expect applications to disclose an age range (like "Under 16"). Involve parents or guardians early — a legitimate employer welcomes that. First meetings should be in public places; never ask a minor to meet alone in a private location, to work unsupervised overnight, or to keep a job secret from their parents. Violations of teen-safety rules lead to removal and bans, and where the law requires it, escalation beyond Leadly.
Leadly does not verify businesses or issue "verified employer" badges, so trust comes from how you post: a clear description, honest pay, a real business or personal name, prompt in-app replies, and comfort with parent involvement. If your post is removed and you think that's a mistake, email [email protected] for human review.
