Safety guidelines for teens and families

Leadly's safety rules: never pay to apply, keep chat in the app, meet in public places, and how to report a job, message, or user that feels wrong.

The basics every user agrees to

Never send money to apply for a job.

Never share sensitive information (like banking details or Social Security numbers) before verifying the employer.

Meet employers in safe, public places when appropriate — never alone, and tell a parent or guardian where you're going.

Report suspicious jobs or messages immediately.

If you ever feel unsafe: stop communicating and report the employer through Leadly.

How Leadly protects you

Unsafe job categories are blocked platform-wide, and every listing is screened automatically.

Messages are checked for common scam patterns — payment-before-work requests, gift cards and wire transfers, and attempts to move the conversation off-platform — and you're warned before sending or responding.

Your contact info is never shown publicly; messaging stays in the app.

If something feels wrong

Use the Report button on any job or conversation — every report is reviewed.

Tell a parent, guardian, or trusted adult right away.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911 (US and Canada).
